Wood Group Industrial Services is an established supplier of access services specialising in scaffold design, scaffold inspection and scaffold installation. Innovative and cost effective design solutions meet the demanding access and technical requirements of a wide range of projects in the construction, marine, transport infrastructure, process and energy and civil engineering sectors.

Scaffolding Design

We operate an in-house Scaffolding Technical Department responsible for all scaffolding design and technical input for our access and containment systems.

The department consists of a team of qualified and experienced engineers, led by the Contract Scaffold Division’s Operations Director who is a current member of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) Technical Committee.

Our design procedures, monitoring and inspection processes, ensure our scaffolds are planned, constructed, employed and dismantled safely, all in accordance with current legislation and relevant industry codes of practice including BS12811.

In addition to the scaffold design team, all Wood Group operations teams have full access to the suite of NASC guidance documents, including TG20:13, an online In-house Technical Manual.

Scaffolding Operations

Wood Group skilled operations teams comprise of fully trained and certified scaffolders, supervisors and managers. Along with the highly experienced scaffold design team, we also deliver innovative and cost effective scaffold solutions to meet all the project elements for complex access and technical requirements including specialist services such as rope access services and powered access systems.

We support projects of all sizes in a wide range of industries including; construction, infrastructure, petrochemical, oil & gas and marine sectors.

Materials

We invest in quality materials throughout our business, allowing our scaffolding divisions to provide access, support, protection and containment solutions utilising our substantial stocks of traditional Tube and Fittings as well as our new Metrix system scaffold.

This modern design allows for substantial productivity gains over traditional tube and fitting scaffolds and other system scaffold. The Metrix system features the unique advanced guardrail system, divisible bays and many other safety and operational advantages making it one of the most versatile and efficient system scaffolds available.

From traditional tube and fitting, system scaffold, temporary roofs and environmental containment, through to rope access solutions, mobile work platforms, lightweight cradle systems and bespoke access systems, Wood Group can meet all your access requirements.
